Active Cosmetics Haul (Gift)!

Hey all!

As you may or may not know I graduated last week :-D and I wanted to share one of the gifts I received which is beauty related with you!

It's a set of make up from a company called Active Cosmetics. It came in a big box seen below which contained a bag (which can be used as a hand bag), a blush and shadow palette, lip gloss palette, bronzer, 3 lipstick, 3 brushes, 2 lip pencils, 2 eyeliners and mascara.

The Bag/ Handbag

This is the bag that came with the kit which I now use as a handbag for work. I absolutely LOVE this bag since its quite a neat bag whilst being really spacious.

Make Up

All the make up included in the bag

Bronzer

Eyeliner

2 blushes and shadow palette

Mascara

Lip glosses

2 lip liners and an eyeliner

Lipsticks

As you can see all the make up products are based on neutral colours mostly browns and mauves which is perfect for the winter!

Essence single eye shadows review (and swatches)

Hello again!

2 posts in today ! hehe This will be another review J

I will be reviewing 2 Essence single eye shadows. I absolutely love eyeshadows!! Especially greens and browns!

I will be reviewing 3 Essence single eye shadows. 2 are in metallic effect and 1 is in sparkling.

I love Essence products (and their facial wipes are amazing!! – review to follow). Who wouldn’t, for their price and quality??

Single eye shadows come in a clear plastic container and has 2.5g of product. Total eyeshadow diameter is 3.5cm (it’s quite big).

• Metropolitan (06) – sparkling effect

This one has a nice flowery design on the eye shadow product itself (although mine is broken LL )

It has green and gold glitters. It's brown/bronze.

This is really pigmented. You get a nice colour with a light sweep.

• Hippie Flair (12) – metallic

This once has essence written all over it.

It’s super pigmented. It's an aqua marine blue.

This is my favorite among all 3 of them!

• Super Babe (18) – metallic

This once has essence written all over it as well.

This one is not so pigmented. You need to swipe more and harder on the product to get a nice colour. But once you get the desired amount, it’s amazing <3 It's a really nice dark green.

I prefer the metallic ones more than the sparkling. Which do you guys prefer?? Do you have any single ey eshadows by essence? What do you think of them ? Please share!

Rimmel 60 seconds (605 – Purple Reign) review

Hello everyone!! JJ 

I work with my family..dad, uncles, aunt and cousins. . . but at the office, it’s me, my sister and aunt. A lot of them went to Milan today . . so It will be a little quieter than usual here . .   at least it’s a nice day!! Not like it was on Tuesday… I don’t like rain!! 

Well anyway . . today, I’m reviewing a nail polish by Rimmel. I don’t actually have it on now. Today, I’m giving my nails a rest, and applied a nail hardener instead.

This one is smaller than their other line of nail polishes.

What is says on the product:

One coat nail polish 1 stroke Xpress brush for 1 second application. Dries in less than 60 seconds. Flammable.

When you look at the tube, you can see some silver and looks like there are silver and pink glitters, but there are definitely no glitters. You kind of notice them if you really look at the nail polish  on the nail.

The brush is a bit larger than any others, which I absolutely love! It really takes you a second to apply it to your nails. Really convenient, and you don’t need to apply a lot of coats to cover the nail. . so no mess! It’s easy for beginners or for who isn’t very good at applying nail polish.

It’s true to their word; dries in a minute!! (if you apply 2 thin coats, and wait some time after the 1^st coat)

The first coat isn’t very pigmented, by the second coat, the colour totally changes, i.e becomes really pigmented!

What I didn.t like is the durability. The colour was chipping after a couple of hours . . LL I only had a base coat on, so maybe that’s why..?

Collective elf Haul!!!!!

Hey all!!

As you may know from our links on facebook, Denise and I decided to indulge in the Mystery Gift Box promotion beauty baron (+ elf) were having! We have decided to do a collective haul since we each got some stuff thanks to this promotion!

I decided to splurge a little on make up this month since 1 All of my favourite products hit pan, 2 I have my graduation in a few days (excited!!!!)

So I opted to order 3 seperate orders in order to get 3 Mystery Boxes, unfortunately Beauty Baron had another offer going on, if you got a sticker on your mystery box you're entitled to another free gift, unfortunately none of my mystery boxes included a sticker :-(

I received 3 orders together and the other order two days after.

First two orders!!!

The first order I opened included the Daily Brush Cleaner (which I re-ordered) and the new Make Up Lock and Set and Mascara Primer + Mystery Box Number 1!

Second Order I opened which included 2 Make Up Mist and Set (one re ordered and another one for my bf's mum), Cream Eyeliner in Black (re order) and All over covering stick in Honey (re order but different colour since they didn't have Rosy Beige (fyi tried it and it matched with my skin tone)) + Mystery Box Number 2!

After two days of waiting Order number 3 arrived!!!!!

This order included all new products since I wanted to try new things, the HD powder is the only reorder in this order. So I ordered the tone correcting concealer in Rosy beige, the new lengthening and defining mascara, and two natural radiance blushers one in shy and the other in coy + Mystery Box number 3!

On to the part I know you all have been waiting for, the Mystery Boxes!!

Mystery Box Number 1

I received the New Beauty Book the Natural Eye edition and three nail polishes in Twinkle, Glitter Glam and Smoky Brown. I loved this Mystery box not only since I love the Beauty encyclopedias/ books but because the only product I had was Smoky Brown!

Mystery Box Number 2

The second Mystery Box included a Beauty Book, the Smoky eye edition, the new Smudge Brush, Nail file kit and a nail polish in Golden Goddess. This is probably my favourite out of all the three Mystery boxes since there is a diversity of products plus I only have the Golden Goddess Nail polish.

Last but not least Mystery Box Number 3

Funnily enough this mystery box is identical to the one my friend Lara received! It includes two nail polishes one in Smoky Brown and Twinkle which are doubles since I received them in the other Mystery Boxes and I already had Smoky brown, a mineral eyeshadow in outdoorsy (I LOVE IT and I usually hate green eyeshadow) and a bamboo lip brush!

Denise's Haul:

I made 2 orders, but only received one of them :(:(   I've been sending e-mails to E.L.F. Let's just hope they will send my lost order (and the mystery box). It's NO FAIR!! I'm so disappointed that it's been lost. I know it's not E.L.F's fault... but still .. . I feel like a cry baby haha

Anyways. This order was quite small. I bought a mineral lipstick in Cheerful Cherry, which I absolutely LOVE, and the new mineral Personal Blend foundation in Medium. The product comes out little by little . . so of course, takes ages to apply full face. . .

I was so not happy with the things in the mystery box.... They sent 3 nail polishes (2 I already had..) Smoky brown, Twinke and Glitter Glam and a bamboo concealer brush. As I'm not a mineral concealer fan, I won't be using this one. . Here's a pic:

The smoky brown nail polish is my own..because I gave the one I received to a friend that was with me when I open the parcel . .

Let's just hope E.L.F will re-send me the other order... plus the mystery box. Fingers crossed ;)

E.L.F nail polishes review - Mango Madness, Blush and Smoky Brown and NOFD

Hello there!!

What a nice sunny day!! The weather today inspired my Nail Of The Day ! Will show you a picture at the end of this post.

Now off to the review and swatches:

From Left to right : Smoky Brown, Blush and Mango Madness

This one is really pigmented!! But for a better colour, I still apply a second coat.

This one is not very pigmented. I only put 2 coats on the picture, but I would probably put a 3rd coat next time. .

Altough the 1st coat is not pigmented, by the 2nd coat, the colour is totally transformed!!

Basically, I LOVE E.L.F nail polishes. They dry in a couple of minutes, the texture is perfect - not too thick and not too thin plus it doesn't chip after 5 minutes (like some nail polishes do . . )

Off to the NOFD:

2 coats of E.LF Mango Madness and 1 thick coat of Valentina glitter polish

Golden Rose nail polish review PLUS 4head headache relief review

Goodmorning every one!

I'm obsessed with my nails!! I always make sure they are nicely filed. I apply cuticle oil everytime I remember, so to keep nails healthy, and I make sure my nail polish is neat and not chipped.

Among nail polishes I like, are by E.L.F (from http://www.crueltyfreemalta.com/ or http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/) and also by Rimmel. In other nail polishes, consistency is thich or takes ages to dry!!

I was at a beauty salon the other day, and the Golden Rose stand attracted me to it. Such beautiful colours!! I bought a bright red one, because I didn't have a bright red one in my nail polish collection.

I love this polish!! The consistency is perfect, not too thin and not too thick. It dries super fast!!  The only downside is that this one in particular is quite small . .  but there are other nai lpolishes by the same brand.

Do you suffer from headaches like I do?? I found an alternative way to relief headaches instead of taking pills everytime. I personally am not a fan of medication. I prefer natural remedies; herbs and essential oils. Here is some more info regarding the matter :

This is what it says on the box : A specially designed treatment for headaches which is applied directly to the forehead for fast, effective headache relief without pills.  Contains 100% Levomenthol w/w .

It does exaclty what it says!! I really soothed my headache plus it was not greasy and no one could tell I had something on my forehead .. :)  I highly recommend it!!
