Tried and Tested- Pupa Magnetic Nail Art Kit- Review, Swatches and Tutorial

Hey Guys!

So today I will be reviewing a product I had been after for a long long time, the Pupa Magnetic Nail Art Kit!

I bought this kit a few weeks ago in Silver and I just had to have it!

The kit contains a small magnetic nail polish and two magnets, one to create horizontal stripes and the other one to create diagonal stripes. This product retails for around 10 euro, quite a good price considering that you get a nail polish and two magnets.

The nail polish contains 5 ml of product which is specifically made to use with magnets, however you can still apply it on it's own.

I have filmed a video in order for you to get an idea on the ease of use of the product and also to see how to actually apply this product, take a look:

As you can see from the above video, the product is easy to apply however, it can get a bit irritating to get the right distance away from the nail because if you put it too close it will smudge but if you put it too far away it won't mark.

Since you have to apply the magnet to each separate nail, I thought that it will take long to finish my nails but in around 10 minutes I was up and ready to go! What is good about this product is that it doesn't take very long to dry to that also minimizes the time to finish your nails!

I tested out the product for a whole week, you can see my nails after a week of wear below!
After one week
As you can see, I did have a bit of chipping on the nails however they started to chip after around 5 days of wearing the nail polish.

All in all, I absolutely recommend this product, not only do they make your nails look funky but this kit is very easy to use!

That's all from me.

Two-Toned Pink and Gold Lips tutorial!

Hi Guys!!

So this is probably my first tutorial on this blog, as you might know I had a youtube channel before!

This tutorial came around thanks to Chanel from Bon Ton Fashionista who posted the below picture and I told her I'll re create it!

I will be giving you both a step by step tutorial with pictures but I also have a video for you!

Products Used:

essence Lip liner in Cute Pink
Catrice Ultimate colour Lipstick in Pink Me Up
e.l.f Mineral eyeshadow in Golden
(e.l.f Small Precision brush)

Step 1

Line your lips with the essence Cute Pink Lip Liner

Step 2

Fill in your lips with the Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in Pink Me Up, should you choose to do a different colour it is up to you! I matched this colour as much as possible to the picture.

Step 3

Apply loose pigment on your lips, make sure that the majority of the colour is in the middle and dab only a little colour at the sides by dabbing small amounts with the end of the brush. Should you wish to create a full gold lip mix the pigment with a clear lipgloss!

Voila! The finished look! This is a fairly simple look, I may have not gotten it exactly like the picture however keep in mind that the picture I took is at a different angle!

Hope you liked it!!

Tried and Tested: Essence French Tip Guide + Nail Tutorial

Hi Guys!

So welcome to our new review section of our blog: Tried & Tested.

I have reviewed the essence French Tip Guide and I have done a simple nail tutorial for you which you can follow on the video below:

For the tutorial I used the following products:

e.l.f Nail polish in Light Pink
essence Colour & Go nail polish in Blue Addicted
e.l.f Nail polish in Clear
essence French tip guide

My Views on the essence French tip Guide:

I really liked using this product since I love French tips and I usually don't get my tips really nicely done when I try to do them myself since they end up non symmetrical and all over the place so these guides really help you get that precise french tip line.

One thing that I didn't like about the product is the fact that the sticker is too long and there is a lot of waste involved and you can't just cut it because it will loose the arch.

On the other hand, they can be used more than once so at least there isn't that much waste!

The stickers don't pull off your base coat so that is a plus as well but be warned, let it dry quite well before sticking them on!

Would I re-purchase them? Heck yeah!! :-D

The final nail design :-)

Hope you liked this post!! Comment below if you would like to see more similar posts :-)
