Forever Living Meal Replacement Shakes

Hi guys!

I've always been a fan of protein/meal replacement shakes and I've tried quite a few brands over the years. Recently, I've become a districutor for Forever Living and needless to say, I just had to try their meal replacement shakes, which come in chocolate and vanilla flavours

Both taste very good but I prefer the chocolate flavour. I use soya milk (or any other milk substitute) to make the shake, as it's thicker in consistency and more filling. I like to freeze it for about half an hour to an hour prior drinking it.

I find it surprisingly very filling and when I take it as a breakfast at about 8:30am, I dont get hungry before lunch, no even peckish! When I have anything else for breakfast, I get hungry at about 10:30am!

I highly suggest these shakes for people wanting to lose or keep their weight! I hope they make more flavours !

If you need more information regarding this product, message me on our facebook page or on my Forever Living Products page!

I will review more Forever Living Products soon, including more weight los products, so stay tuned!

Keeping up with Kim Kardashian's baby bump style! (part 1)

Hi Guys!

As I'm sure most of you know, Kim Kardashian is pregnant, so we decided to take a look at her outfit choises till now!

Here at the MTV European Music Awards on the 11th November, Kim was at the very early stages ..hmm but was a certain body part showing us something ..?

Ok, first of all, I absolutely LOVE this white cut-out dress! Here, she's at the opening of a 'Millions of Milkshakes' branch in Kuwait City at Avenues Mall on the 29th of November. She totally rocks this dress!

Here with her boyfriend Kanye West watching a game looking pretty and casual.

Here on December 19 in their annual family Christmas card, Kim was wearing a figure hugging dress, but no bump could be seen...

Here in Las Vegas, less than 24 hours after revealing the baby news, Kim looks gorgeous as ever in this lacy dress. Don't they look cute ?

Kim famously goes to the gym all year long, and she's definitely not skipping her sessions during her pregnancy. This pic was taken on the 2nd of January and a mini baby-bump can be spotted!

Here at the annual ICED Festival at the Cowboys Dance Hall in Canada on January 4, Kim looks every inch her sexy-self!

I'm in love with this dress ! Not much bump yet on 6 January while leaving dinner, but HELLO to pregnancy boobies !

While in Paris with her baby daddy during the end of January, Kim looks gorgeous as ever!

Tried and Tested: e.l.f Cream Blush Review

Hi Guys!

Today I will be sharing with you a review of the e.l.f Cream Blush!

I have also made a video which you can view below

I currently have the e.l.f Cream Blush in Flirt which if I'm not mistaken, we had been sent this product as part of our gift bundle for ending up in the Top Ten finalists of The Beauty Editor's Shoes Competition.

e.l.f Studio Cream Blush in Flirt
This product comes in a sleek square plastic container which contains 15 g of product.

The consistency of this product is quite compact and does not really look as one would expect very creamy, however once applied it does turn out a little creamy and is quite easy to work with.

The blush can be a bit tricky to apply with a brush therefore you may need to apply it a few times, however once applied it really gives you a healthy natural glow which stays on for quite a long time! I usually have this pinky glow for the whole day when applying it!

This is a very good blush and this colour is absolutely stunning once applied!

Below you can see the Un-Blended and Blended swatches of this blush.

Do you own any Cream Blushes from e.l.f? What do you think of them?

Tried and Tested: Essence Cream Blushes Review and Swatches

Hi Guys!

Today I will be speaking to you about the essence Cream Blushes!!

I have also filmed a video for you which you can watch below:

I currently have the essence Souffle Touch blush in 020 Frozen Strawberry and 030 Cold Wildberry and I also have the essence Blush Sorbet in 01 Smoothie Operator which was part of the Fruity Limited Edition collection.

From Left: Fruity Blush Sorbet in 01 Smoothie Operator, 010 Frozen Strawberry, 020 Cold Wildberry

All three blushes come in a plastic container which contain 0.27 ounces/ 8 ml (souffle touch blushes) and 8.2 g/ 0.28 ounces (blush sorbet).

The consistency of theses blushes is what makes them different, the souffle touch blush is a more creamy texture, whilst the blush sorbet is a more liquidy texture. All blushes have a great long lasting factor, so much so that during the summer period, the blush is still visible after a day of wearing the blush, and that is saying a lot especially since I have oily skin.

The only thing I do not like about these blushes is the smell, the souffle touch blushes remind me of shaving cream and the blush sorbet has a really strong bubblegum smell, however, I do not exclude using them because of the smell.

Application may be a bit tricky at times however a small amount goes a long way and I always apply it with a brush to make application easier.

All in all these cream blushes are extremely good products especially if you are looking for a long lasting blush!

Below you will see Un-Blended and Blended swatches of the blushes in order to get an idea on how they look on the skin!
Un-Blended Blushes: From Top: Fruity Blush Sorbet in 01 Smoothie Operator, 010 Frozen Strawberry, 020 Cold Wildberry
Blended Blushes: From Top: Fruity Blush Sorbet in 01 Smoothie Operator, 010 Frozen Strawberry, 020 Cold Wildberry
What do you think of Cream Blushes?

Yummy fresh dates!! + recipes

Hello again !

I can't stop munching on fresh dates today, so I decided to make a quick post about them!

One word - yummy!!

Dates grow on the palm tree belonging to the family of Arecaceae in the genus: Phoenix and scientifically named as Phoenix dactylifera. The tree is believed to originate in the lands on the banks of Nile and Euphrates Rivers of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Date palm is now grown extensively for its edible fruits under warmer climates across all the continents.

There are many varieties of date palm cultivated:

Choose your date!

Health benefits of dates

  • Wonderfully delicious, dates are one of the most popular fruits packed with an impressive list of essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are required for normal growth, development and overall well-being.
  • Fresh dates compose of soft, easily digestible flesh and simple sugars like fructose and dextrose. When eaten, they replenish energy and revitalize the body instantly. For these qualities, they are being used to break the fast during Ramadan month since ancient times.
  • The fruit is rich in dietary fiber, which prevents LDL cholesterol absorption in the gut. Additionally, the fiber works as a bulk laxative. It, thus, helps to protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time and as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon.
  • They contain health benefiting flavonoid polyphenolic antioxidants known as tannins. Tannins are known to possess anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-hemorrhagic (prevent easy bleeding tendencies) properties.
  • They are moderate sources of vitamin-A (contains 149 IU per 100 g), which is known to have antioxidant properties and essential for vision. Additionally, it is also required maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin. Consumption of natural fruits rich in vitamin A is known to help to protect from lung and oral cavity cancers.
  • They compose antioxidant flavonoids such as B- carotene, lutein, and zea-xanthin. These antioxidants found to have the ability to protect cells and other structures in the body from harmful effects of oxygen-free radicals. Thus, eating dates found to offer some protection from colon, prostate, breast, endometrial, lung, and pancreatic cancers.

  • Zea-xanthin is an important dietary carotenoid that selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea, where it thought to provide antioxidant and protective light-filtering functions. It thus offers protection against age-related macular degeneration, especially in elderly populations.
  • Dates are an excellent source of iron, contains 0.90 mg/100 g of fruits (about 11% of RDI). Iron, being a component of hemoglobin inside the red blood cells, determines the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood.
  • Further, they are very good in potassium. 100 g contains 696 mg or 16% of daily-recommended levels of this electrolyte. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that help controlling heart rate and blood pressure. They, thus, offers protection against stroke and coronary heart diseases.
  • They are also rich in minerals like calcium, manganese, copper, and magnesium. Calcium is an important mineral that is an essential constituent of bone and teeth, and required by the body for muscle contraction, blood clotting, and nerve impulse conduction. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. Copper is required for the production of red blood cells. Magnesium is essential for bone growth.
  • Further, the fruit has adequate levels of B-complex group of vitamins as well as vitamin K. It contains very good amounts of pyridoxine (vitamin B-6), niacin, pantothenic acid, and riboflavin. These vitamins are acting as cofactors help body metabolize carbohydrates, protein, and fats. Vitamin K is essential for many coagulant factors in the blood as well as in bone metabolism.

    Here are some serving tips:

  • Dry and soft dates are usually eaten out-of-hand.
  • They can also be chopped and used with fruit salad and in a range of sweet and savory dishes.
  • Dates are also being used to prepare juice and Jallab (a type of syrup popular in the Middle East and made from dates, grape molasses, and rose water)
  •  I also love them blended with banana and strawberries! (or any other fruit)
  • Another way of eating them is by rolling them in lettuce to make a roll.
  • I love them tossed in salad.
  • You can also blend them with bananas (or alone) and you have a salad dressing !
