Tried & Tested- Pupa Milano Soft & Wild Limited Edition Collection

Hi All!

Hope you are doing well!

So I know I have been away for a while but I assure you I am alive and kicking just been super busy focusing on my career and other stuff in my life, more on that in an upcoming post!

Today I would like to talk to you about some products which have been sent over to me by Pupa Milano, however, first things first, let me take a few minutes of your time to show you this gorgeous collection!

First of all this collection is called the Soft & Wild collection and is a Limited Edition collection for Autumn 2015.

This collection features a number of different products from eye shadows to lipsticks to nail products that bring out your wild side whilst maintaining your soft features.

As Pupa put it:
"Pupa captures the trend and presents Soft&Wild, a make-up collection created for those women who love a sophisticated and romantic look with modern “aggressive” accents. Shades of powder pink blend with the bolder ones of fuchsia, for a collection that has a soft and wild soul."
You can view more information about this collection by clicking here: CLICK ME!

I received the Vamp! Duo Liner & Kajal and I'm Pure Colour Lipstick- Absolute Brightness in 003.

So, I have been wearing these products for the past week and I an safely say that I am OBSESSED with the lipstick and absolutely love the Kajal Liner, however, I am not wearing it out during the day due to the intensity of it. That being said I did wear it today to work but that was for review purposes!

In this photo you can see the look I created were I used the lipstick and the Duo Liner and Kajal.

Vamp! Duo Liner & Kajal

In this look I applied the Kajal Liner on the bottom of my eyes whilst the liquid liner on top. As you can see the intensity of the Kajal is much more intense than that of the liner, in fact when I wore it out, I went over the liner with the Kajal and eyeshadow.

The packaging itself is really trendy and I love the shape of both the Kajal and Liner. It is very controllable but you need a bit more control with the liner. I also noted that if the kajal gets wasted you can actually pull it out of place (granted I noticed this because I was a bit of a savage with it (see my wild side was coming out ;))

I also tested out both the kajal and liner by swatching them and putting them under water then wiping them off with a towel... look at my results below:

The black line on top is the Liner part whilst the black line on the bottom is the kajal part.

I was quite impressed with the Kajal part it actually went after a good rub with soap, however the liner part went out quite quickly when I washed it with soap.

That being said I still wanted to test out the longevity. I tested it out on a very long Friday night and I did have some bleeding from the Kajal and the Liner stayed on quite well, having said that I did put the kajal for more intensity on it, however, today I tested the Liner out with no added stuff..

As you can see there was a bit of fading of the liner and bleeding from the kajal but for a morning look the fading doesn't bother me that much.

All in all I love this liner and will definitely re-buy it once it runs out!

I'm Pure Colour Lipstick- Absolute Brightness in 003- Wild Red

I am OBSESSED with this shade! It is the right amount of red to wear at night or during the day and the application is soo smooth and it leaves your lips quite moisturised!

If you follow me on Instagram/ Facebook you know I posted this photo recently:

The shade on my lips is none other than the I'm Pure Colour Lipstick- Absolute Brightness in 003- Wild Red! The below photo is a closer look at the shade on my lips!

On the day, I also decided to test out the longevity and boy did I give this lipstick a run for it's money! On the day we had spare ribs for lunch so you can imagine what torture this poor lipstick went through.
Considering what I put my lipstick through, I was quite surprised that I had a nice tint to my lips!

To be fair, today I re-tested the lipstick this time eating normally and drinking as I normally do:

Although the lipstick is not as vibrant as before, the red is still quite prominent and is still on my lips as I sit here and type whilst sipping on my Lemon & Ginger tea!

This lipstick comes in four shades, two neutral shades one on beige and one which is more pinky and a fuchsia shade.

I absolutely love this collection and considering their prices which are a bit on the pricier side, I think that they are good value for the money you spend!

Before I forget... the following are the prices of all the collection:

Soft & Wild I'M Pure Colour Lipstick- Absolute Brightness - €12.45
Soft & Wild Vamp! Duo Liner & Kajal - €11.80

Soft & Wild Lasting Color Gel - €6.00
Soft & Wild Animal Print Effect Top Coat - €6.00
Soft & Wild Blush - €14.40
Soft & Wild Vamp! Wet & Dry Eyeshadow - €11.70 each

 Hope you liked this post!

Tried and Tested: Anatomicals: The Mask Chronicles 1: Farewell the scarlet pimplehell- Deep Cleansing Mud Mask!

Hey Guys!

Hope you are all doing splendidly!

A few weeks ago I got my hands on a few gorgeous products, you can see the full post here:

Today's post will be the first of three reviews which I will be calling the Mask Chronicles!

Anatomicals have a number of masks which will ease your skin worries! This set of three masks is at a very affordable price of 3.50 euro and you can purchase it by visiting this link:

The first mask I decided to try out first is the "Farewell the scarlet pimplehell: Deep Cleansing Mud Mask".

The product comes in a plastic sheet containing 15ml/ 0.5 fl.oz, not your average mask packagining, however, the brand itself is all about tongue-in-cheek and taking the fancy out of your skin care regime and providing excellent products!

The Mask is a pure clay developed to absorb excess oil, deep embedded dirt and make up whilst helping to control spots, blackheads and pores whilst tightening the skin.

The first time I used the mask, my face was breaking out horribly and felt really dirty and congested! The contents of the sachet itself will serve you for up to 2-3 times of use, obviously don't be super generous with the amount you use, a little can go a long way!

This mask is very simple to use:

1. Soak face with a moist warm cloth and blot dry
2. Apply the mask
3. Leave it on for around 10-15 minutes
4. Remove the mask with a moist cloth

Et Voila! Cue funny pictures!

I'm not a happy puppy!
The Mask
When applying masks, it is a must to pull silly faces!
D'oh!
Squeaky clean!
My first impressions of the mask were very good. The mask itself is very refreshing and I did feel as though it sucked all the dirt out of my face! With regards to spots and blackheads, at first I didn't notice any noticeable difference, however, the day after I applied the mask, my face looked much more clearer than in the above picture!

I highly recommend that you try out this product! If you would like to buy this product, you may do so by visiting the following link:

Tried and Tested: Eva Garden Nail Polish in 382

Hey Guys!!

Hope you are all doing well!!

A few months ago I had attended a Personal Make Up Course at Bio Care academy, you can view that post here:

We were given an Eva Garden Nail Polish in this winter's top shades! The shade I was given was 382, a metallic brown shade!

This polish comes in a sleek bottle and contains 10 ml/ 0.33 fl.oz. The nail polish goes on smoothly and is very easy to apply! With regards to pigmentation, after one coat, the nail polish is quite pigmented, however, to achieve the best results, two coats are suggested!

I wore this nail polish for around a week. As you can see from the above picture, I had a lot of chipping, however the chipping started to appear nearer to the end of the week.

I absolutely love the colour of this polish since this kind of brown usually ages the person, however, the formula and finish of the colour makes it more wearable and fashion forward!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Till next time!

Tried and Tested: It Style Nail Lacquer in 122

Hey Guys!

Hope you are all doing great!!!

A few months ago, I was invited to the launch of a new store called It Style, an affordable Italian Make Up brand!

One of the products I was given is the Nail Lacquer in 122.

The polish comes in a sleek bottle containing 15ml of product. The thing I loved most about this nail polish is the amazing colour which at first glance looks like a shiny blue hue, however, in certain lighting, the nail polish looks purple! In fact, as you can see in the picture above, with just one coat, the nail polish looks purple, however, as you can see, it does need another coat to give justice to the colour!

Upon application, the nail polish dries relevantly quickly and is easy to apply.

I left this product on for around a week. With regards to chipping, I noticed the first chipping after around 3 days, however, after a week, as you can see from the above picture, the nail polish chipped slightly on some fingers but remained in tact on others.

All in all, I absolutely loved this nail polish and is probably one of my favourite blue/ purple hue!

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Initial Reaction- Philip Kingsley Products

Hey Guys!

Hope you are all doing well!

Today's post is a bit different than my usual posts!

If you remember from a few weeks ago, I attended a launch party of a new hair care range to the Maltese Market! Just to give you a little refresher, check out my post here:

Earlier last week, I managed to get my hands on Philip Kingsley products, tailored for my hair needs!!

Apart from this blog post, I have done a video which corresponds to this blog post, check out the video below!

Just to take you through this post, I wanted to post an initial reaction post and then post a detailed review when I use the products for a longer time.

As a brand, Philip Kingsley focuses on the Trichological needs of one's hair. Trichology as in the study of the scalp!
Before I decided which products to use, Philip Kingsely's Maltese Brand Manager sat down with me and we went through what I wanted to tackle.

As you can see from my oh so glamourous picture above, my hair is coloured, fine and wavy. Apart from that, I have dandruff problems!

The solution?

Philip Kingsley's Hair Hero the Elasticizer to give some oomph to my dull hair whilst protecting my colour! I purchased the Take Comfort Jet Set travel set which include the Flaky/ Itchy Scalp Shampoo paired up with the Flaky/ Itchy Scalp Toner to kill those nasty flakes and the Moisture Balancing Conditioner which gives back some life to my dull hair!

The reason I bought the 75 ml products is so I could test out these products before buying larger size products since my hair has a mind of its own when it comes to certain products.

Just to give you an idea of the cost of these products, the Elasticizer (75ml) retails for around 20 euro whilst the Jet Set retails for around 25 euro.

The first product I tried out was the Elasticizer which  is a pre-shampoo treatment which you apply from the mid to the end of the hair and let it sit for 20 minutes in a shower cap. I also put a towel around my head since the product works better when it is kept warm.

Instantly, my ends looked much better after I rinsed the Elasticizer out. I then applied the shampoo and conditioner and finished off with the toner.

After a few hours, my hair was already much smoother and softer as you can see in the below image!

I decided to take pictures of myself up to the day I re-washed my hair just to see how my hair "behaves" compared to the day I first washed my hair with the products!

Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
My first impressions of these products was very positive. Infact, I realised that my hair colour looked brighter and just about the same as it did the day I left the hair salon with this colour! Compared to the first day, my hair looks smoother healthier and softer than it did before I washed it.

All in all, I really liked these products, however, I will test out these products for a longer period in order to give a fairer review!

Should you wish to purchase these products and live in Malta, you may purchase these products from Village Gossip in Mosta.

Stay tuned for a longer review!

Tried and Tested- OPI Nail Laquer in Jade is the New Black

Hey Guys!

Hope you are all doing well!

If you may or may not recall, a few months ago I went to Barcelona as a Birthday Present from the hubs and I bought some OPI goodies!

One of the nail polishes I bought was a particular shade which has been on my wish list for quite some time, Jade is the New Black!

This polish comes in the famous sleek OPI bottle which contains 15 ml of product. Unfortunately I do not remember how I paid for the polish since I bought it months ago! As you can see from the above picture, the polish works well with just one coat, however, I prefer wearing two coats in order to achieve the desired colour!

I absolutely love the fact that the nail polish dries with a glossy finish and therefore does not need a top coat in order to achieve that glossy finish!

Another plus to this polish, apart from the gorgeous jade colour is the fact that it dries quite quickly and unlike other polishes which dry fast compared to other polishes, it doesn't dry with a flaky consistency!

I wore this nail polish for around 10 days and was quite impressed by the longevity of this product, in fact, check out the above photo which should you not place your face so close to the screen, you will probably not even notice that there is some chipping going on! Quite impressive right?

All in all, I loved this product, especially the colour and believe me when I say that Green nail polish is not usually my thing, however, OPI nail polishes are on the pricey side but the quality does make up for it!

Hope you liked this post!

Asta la vista baby!

Tried and Tested- Pupa Milano Lasting Color Gel Nail Polish in 017- Florida's Sunrise

Hey Guys!

Today I will be reviewing one of the newest nail polishes to hit the Pupa Milano range, the Lasting Color Gel Nail Polish in 017 Florida's Sunrise.

Pupa has launched quite an extensive range of colours in this gel-like nail polish range. You may view all the colours here:

The colour I received is number 017 called Florida's Sunrise which is a lovely Hot Pink shade.

The nail polish comes in a sleek glass bottle with a grey-ish tap and contains 17 fl-oz/ 5ml of product and retails for 6 euro. The brush is described as being a'maxi flat applicator' due to being wider than normal nail polish brushes, containing 440 round-end bristles in order to help with easy application. I found that the brush does in fact help with easy application since you only need a few swipes on some fingers and just one swipe on the baby finger. The nail polish dries relatively fast which further helps with the easy application Pupa nail polishes try to achieve.

Pupa describes this nail polish range as making your nails look super shiny with a glassy effect and a super glossy finish with a volumizing, 3D effect texture.

I used two coats in order to achieve the desired, gel-like finish since the first coat was a bit chalky, however, Pupa does mention that two coats are needed to achieve the best result possible. You can see the difference one coat makes in the below photo. It is recommended that a base and top coats are used, however, I do not usually use any base or top coats.

I wore this nail polish for a whole week, as I mentioned previous, no base or top coat were used. As you can see from the photo below, after a week of wear, the nail polish was still quite presentable with chipping due to nail growth and minimal chipping at the tip of my nails. I noticed that after around 4/5 days my nails started to chip, however it was so minimal that you could barely notice it.

All in all, I really liked this Nail Polish, especially the colour which was quite a hit with a lot of people I met. Although the nail polish is small and may be viewed as being on the expensive side, with these types of formulas and brands, I prefer paying a little extra for the quality rather than for quantity.

I hope you liked this post.

Till next time.

Tried and Tested: NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Pink Lyric review

Hey Guys!

I hope you are well, apart from this gloomy weather!

Today I wanted to brighten your day with a review on one of my bright pink lipsticks, the NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Pink Lyric.

I got this lipstick when I was at IMATS last June, at quite a bargain since it was apparently a never used old tester so yay!

The lipstick is a bubblegum pink lipstick which is a Mineral- Based creamy lipstick with a velvet finish to it. Applicaiton wise, the lipstick is very easy to use and quite pigmented. Although the lipstick has a creamy texture, the finish itself is neither glossy or matt.

The product comes in a sleek black tube and contains 4g/ 0.14 oz of product.

In order to test out the longevity of the product, I wore it for a whole day approximately 12 hours since I had a meeting right after work. I did not touch up the lipstick in order to get a better result. I was quite impressed at how the lipstick performed. Not only did the colour remain constant throughout the day but the pigmentation of the lipstick was quite phenomenal, as you can see from the middle picture which was approximately 4 hours after application, the application stayed nearly the same as the morning. Apart from that, this lipstick was rigorously tested since I eat quite frequently throughout the day and drink lots of water and tea!

Unfortunately I cannot remember the actual price of the product, however, I bought it for around 2-3 sterling, that being said, it was a tester therefore it was lower in price.

All in all, I really loved this product, I really like this sort of finish, however, I know that there are many who prefer either a glossy/ shine lipstick or matt lipstick, however, I think it is a healthy medium.

You can now get NYX lipsticks at the new NYX store in Sliema, check out my post on the opening of the store: http://allthingsfabulousblog.blogspot.com/2013/09/fabulous-events-nyx-bloggers-opening.html

Until next time!

Tried & Tested- Pupa Glossy Lips 403- Shimmering Ruby

Hey Guys!

I hope you are all well!

Last week I received two new products from Pupa! One of which I will be reviewing today! Glossy lips is one of their new innovative products. The shade I received is Shade 403- Shimmering Ruby.

Pupa Glossy Lips in 403- Shimmering Ruby
The lipgloss retails for 11.25 euro and comes in 16 shades. You can find more information here:

Glossy Lips is not your average lipgloss, not only does it give shine like a normal lipgloss, it also nourishes the lips since it has argan oil as one of it's key ingredients.

I am not usually a fan of lipglosses but I was quite surprised at how much I liked this lipgloss. I usually hate the sticky-ness of the whole lip gloss experience but this lip gloss is different. Although it does feel like a lip gloss, it feels extremely smooth on the lips. Apart from that, your lips feel smooth even after the lip gloss wears off.

The lipgloss comes in a sleek transparent tube which makes it easier for you to see the colour. This gloss comes with a wand applicator which is slightly different to the normal wand applicators I have, not only does it make it easier to apply the gloss but the wand bends without ease, unlike the sturdy wand applicators I am usually accustomed to.

Glossy Lips Applicator.
Shimmering Ruby is a dark pink shade with pink and gold shimmer undertones. I am quite surprised that this shade is called Shimmering Ruby, although the shimmering part is right, although it is not a full on shimmer, the shade in itself is a more pink rather than a ruby shade.

The lip gloss smells really nice and you can identify the Argan oil smell in it, although it is not very over powering.

With regards to longevity, as many lip glosses, the gloss will wear off after a few hours, however a hint of the colour stays on the lips, and as I said earlier, it does leave your lips feeling smooth after it wears off.

Wearing the Gloss
I really love this lip gloss and would recommend it to anyone, my only concern is the price since I personally would not spend so much on a lip gloss (as I said before, not really a lip gloss person) but due to the fact that it is a lip gloss and a lip care product at the same time, I think the price is reasonable.

That's all from me.

Martina XOXO
