Sorry for the lack of posts this week !! :(

Today, I'm reviewing one of the Catrice lipsticks that we were given at the Essence 10th anniversary and Catrice launch party :)

One can find some Catrice nail polishes for sale, but the whole make-up and nail polish range is not yet available in Malta until March/April. I personally can't wait because, having seen the whole stand with my own eyes, all I can say is that the major make-up brands like Rimmel, L'oreal and the like have to watch out!!

My Catrice wish list will be up soon. I still can't decide :):)

Ok, now on to the review.

 It has 3.8g of product and the packaging is very professional looking and the material is not cheap. It feels slightly heavy.

I glided well on my lips and felt creamy. It has a shiny finish. It feels like having lip balm on. It's kinda nice, I like it.

Even though this is a nude colour, it definitely doesn't look like a concealer. It's more of a pinkish nude.

I compared it to another nude lipstick:

 

The one on the left is Rimmel 700 Nude Delight. The one on the right is Catrice The Nuder The Better.

  It looks matt here, but it's not!

Staying power: 

It only started fading after an hour. Here's a pic I took after an hour:

Hi lovelies!!

So as I told you yesterday in the Kiss and make -up event post that today, I will be posting pics of what I have bought from Zara after the event :):)

I especially liked this detail on both shoulders. I'm not very keen on the colour of the shirt . .

This dress is soooooo cute!!! Although I might use a different belt.

There are still loads of clothes on sale at Zara. And some shoes as well. I particularly liked a couple of light  neon coloured (I don't know if this makes sense or not . .) blazers .. which were not on sale. But oh-em-gee they were super pretty!!

KISS & MAKE-UP Pure make-up launch and vintage clothes at Soap Cafe. .

Hi everyone!!

So today, me and Martina went to the Pure make-up launch at Soap Cafe in Sliema, which I really love, as you can see from previous posts :) It all started at 10am, till 3:00pm.
We, together with Fiona (from Cruelty Free Malta) Lara (Boffism) , her cousin and a couple of friends, stayed for around 2 hours !!

The first thing you'll notice when you enter the shop is , first, OH MY GOD everything smells soooo nice and second, AAAHHHH everything is so cute!!

I think this make-up range was a very good idea, I mean, the shop has loads of good stuff for the face,body and all, like hand-made soaps, oils, natural shampoos, conditioners , scrubs and what not, and I think natural make-up is what was missing!! I mean, with all the bad stuff that there is in our every day make-up (and the rest of the things we use - mind you), it's good to find one more place to buy some good stuff.

So this is the make up stand. There were mineral foundations, blushers, concealers, eye-shadows and lipsticks, lipglosses and mascaras. Basically, all the make-up that you need ! But I do hope she will be having a more selection of colours :):)

I really want to try out the yellow mineral concealer!! It will be my next buy :)

Besides the make-up launch, Lara Schembri from Hey-Birdie-pie-Vintage and Second-hand had loads of BEAUTIFUL clothes, shoes, bags and other accessories available for sale !! I think it would be awsome if it wasn't for this time only , I mean, I think it's a good idea if she could sell from there :) but I talked to her and hopefully, she will have things for sale online in the near future!

I reserved a dress and a coat for myself (I think they are from the early 70's) !! Lara bought a realllyyyyyyy nice 80's jacket! (which I'm sure she will be blogging about so stay tuned!)

They were also generous to have tea and sweets for everyone there, which by the way, were delicious!!

 Lara, Fiona and myself. ( there were quite a lot of people by the time we were ready to leave so we went out while Martina was buying some glitters :):)  )

So we had so much fun today, the atmosphere was nice and friendly, Charlene (shop owner), Lara ( Hey Birdie Pie) and Marika (Aroma Treasures) were super friendly as well PLUS we had some yummy treats!!

We all went to see the shops in Sliema afterwards and I bought a top and a dress from Zara. Pictures will be up tomorrow :):)

Tried and Tested : Essence 24h hand protection balm

As we have already said on our Facebook page, yesterday, we went to the Essence Cosmetics Malta 10 year anniversary party and Catrice Launch together with Dyna and Lara and we had a blast!! Plus they were very generous with the goody bags!! This weekend, we will try to post a video of clips during the event and . . . **drum roll**.... what was in the goody bag...!!  :)


Today, I will review a new product that they have an I think is currently only available at Tony's pharmacy in Gzira. 


24hr hand protection balm in vanilla apple pie

First of all I love love love the packaging! It has 75 ml of product.Besides being good quality, the picture is so cute !! The picture, if you can't see it well, is of a pie with vanilla ice-cream on top and apple slices.

What it says on the product:

This 24h hand protective balm is an intensive repair care for particularly rough and dry hand. The repair formula with shea butter and coconut oil provides moisture & care and protects your hands from dryness for up to 24 hrs. Does not leave an oily residue.Vanilla apple pie scented hand cream.

This is possibly the best smelling hand cream I have ever encountered!! When I open the cap, I can instantly smell the vanilla flavour and makes me melt every time :)   The smell lasts for about an hour (not like you have just applied it obviously)

The consistency is not liquid-y which is awesome!! It's not oily at all and you don't need to blend it too much between your hands which is perfect. I don't have rough skin but my skin definitely felt more moisturised!

Love this !! Will definitely be a re-purchase :)

Tried and Tested : Essence lash & brow gel mascara Review

Good morning every one :):)

What a beautiful morning we have today! I hope that it stays like this all day!!
Me and Martina are so excited today as we are going to the celebration of  Essence's 10th anniversary and the launching of a new make-up line Catrice (http://www.catrice.eu/products.html).

Today, I'm going to review a product by Essence, which is the lash and brow gel mascara.

Do you have perfect eyebrows ?? Most of us, including me, have unruly eyebrows that need grooming. .

My eyebrows are very important to me and I go have them plucked by threading.
I used to pluck my eyebrows really thin, but not any more, as I've noticed that they kind of made me look older. NOT cool!! Thicker eyebrows definitely suit me better.

But of course, everything has pros and cons. I find that my thicker eyebrows get quite unruly and finally I found this gel mascara to tame them with!!

What it say on the product:

Transparent gel mascara. Cares for lashes and styles eyebrows. Ophthamologically tested.

It contains 9 ml of product and I bought it for € 2.19 - good price right?!

Most of the tube is transparent with the inside of the cap, wand and writings being blue. It looks really pretty (like all the other essence products - mind you)

I have tried this on both my lashes and brows and now I only use this on my brows because I always have colour mascara on anyway.

Here are the pictures on my eyebrows with and without the gel:

AFTER (I'm aware that half of my eyebrow is darker. . it's natural. I just need some filling up.)

Can you see the difference?? Half of my brow is darker, which is annoying. The purpose of these pictures are just to show you how tamed they look after applying the gel mascara :):)

Here are the pictures to show you what it does to the lashes (My sister is in the pictures below):

As you can see, it doesn't do any difference volume and length- wise but it does separate the lashes. They look clumpier before applying it. So this is good for those that don't like the feeling or look of the normal mascaras.

How it feels:

It does feel just a little sticky as soon as you apply it but it will soon vanish. When touching my eyebrows, I can't tell that I have anything on! 

So basically I love this product and it will definitely be a re-purchase!!

Perfectil Skin, Hair and Nails Vitamins

Today, I'm writing about the most recent vitamins that I bought.The name is Perfectil Triple Active skin, hair and nails.

Almost everyone knows that beauty starts from within, i.e. drinking at least 1.5 ltrs of water daily, eating fruits and veggies everyday and avoiding junk.
