OOTD: The One at the Family Wedding!

Hey Guys!

Hope you are all doing well!!

So, yesterday I attended my cousin's wedding, the first one from my Dad's side!

I know I don't usually write very personal posts here but seeing how much the last post helped me, I decided to share something with you.

Yesterday was the first wedding that I actually went stag to. To be honest I was a bit hesitant at first to go on my own, however, seeing that I am currently going through an 'I would like to get to know Martina more' phase, I decided that I would give it a go and see from there!

Who would have known that something I was so skeptical of, would be so  much fun!?!?!

Yes, in actual fact, I did find myself surrounded with couples and dancing on my own most of the time... I couldn't steal my brother's girlfriend or cousin away for long periods ;-) but it sure got me out of my comfort zone!

To top that all off, I felt great all night! This was the first time I was actually debuting my new figure! I wore a simple yet elegant dress and I felt like a princess all night! I danced the night away and had a few drinks here and there and just enjoyed myself really and truly!

The dress I wore was from a shop in Birkirkara called San Mark which we altered slightly since it was too long for me, however, I decided that I would like a little train at the back! I paired it up with my New Look studded heels together with Accessorize drop earrings and a silver Fossil bracelet which my good friend Marija (a.k.a Pocalocca) had given me for my lucky birthday!

I never wore my hair up for a wedding but I decided to give it a shot so I showed my hairdresser a picture of Eva Longoria and she created this beautiful up style which we then paired up with a braided black and silver band!

Since I did not have much colour in my outfit, I decided to focus on adding subtle colour in my make up! I decided to focus on cranberry tones both on my eyes and lips and added a bit of silver in the corner of my eyes!

I don't have a clear picture of the make up, but I do have a picture I sent to my friends on facebook messenger which shows a bit of the make up!

I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Until next time!

Just Give Me A Reason?!

Hey Guys!

I hope you are all doing well!!!

There is a big reason why I have been so distant and refrained from posting lately!

I feel I owe an explanation to you readers, seeing how much you have supported me and cheered me on even in the most difficult of my ventures, I feel it is unfair that I just stopped cold turkey without any explanations!

During the past few months, I have gone through a number of changes in my life, from career to love to perspective, every piece of what I knew for the past years have been completely changed, why? Because I am not a spectator of my own life but an active participant!

These past few months saw me pushing my limits and nearly destroying my comfort zone! I have been experiencing so many different things and so many different experiences thanks to the people I have surrounded myself with!

I have learnt that everyone comes in your life for a reason, to teach you something about yourself or teach you how to handle certain situations!

Another valuable lesson I have learnt is that Happiness is a Choice, you can choose to be unhappy or be happy, it is all about perspective! Yes, certain things may be better but they could be worse also! The important thing is that I choose to be happy and not let outer factors influence my happiness!

Some of you may not be religious and I do refrain from talking about these things on my blog, however, these past few months saw me taking my spirituality more seriously and finding a new sense of peace!

Why am I telling you all this?

Due to all these experiences, my focus and priorities shifted towards me, loving myself and being happy with myself! Unfortunately during this time, I felt that the blog was in the way of achieving all that, that sense of happiness and peace!

However, after a lot of deliberation and a great conversation with a great friend, I realised that my blog was indeed important to me!

Although I am still in a place where I need to see to other priorities, one of them being my Choir which I am now more involved in, my blog will be revived and you can expect some posts in the coming weeks!

However, I will not post everyday like other bloggers since that personally to me, makes the blog seem like a job and not like a hobby. I am not dissing anyone who does post everyday, but for me personally, I know what I feel and I know what I need to do to revive my passion for blogging!

Thank you all for your support, some of you even for the support you have given me personally during this period of limbo so to speak!

I love you all!
