Beautiful suits, hunky men, tonight's show was quite different than the rest of the shows we saw this week!
Gagliardi Fashion Show, a name synonymous with Maltese fine tailoring! This show was extra special since it celebrated 50 years of Bortex.
The show was set in the intimate setting of the National Library. A number of historic books, fine wood pieces and antique flooring complimented the feel and look of the brand exquisitely!
Hair was done by Marielle Calleja from Prive Hairdressing whilst Make Up was done by Krista Paris assisted by Christelle Lays.
Today's show consisted of two collections, the Spring/ Summer 2014 collection and the Autumn/ Winter 2014 collection.
Spring/ Summer 2014 Collection
The spring/ summer 2014 collection was inspired from the Amalfi coast focusing on light, crisp silhouettes consisting of natural fibers such as pure wools, cottons, linens apart from other fabrics.
The colour palette for this collection was quite range and vast mainly consisting of navy, white, sky blue, midnight blue, lemon yellow, vintage pink, lilac, heather, burnt orange and grey melange.
Apart from a number of tailored business suits, ideal for our hot climate due to being lighter in colour and lighter material, a number of tailored jackets, bright pants, shirts, shorts, polo shirts and an extra special piece of swimwear were also present.
Autumn/ Winter 2014 Collection
The Autumn/ Winter collection is inspired by the 'Cinghiale' hunting in Tuscany hosting a number of paisley, hand writing, trim and quilting.
The colour palette was all about autumn colours hosting a burst of warm colours namely bordeaux, warm mustard, rusty orange, forest green, wintery grey, icy blue and smokey blue.
From business attire to relaxed smart casual outfits, the autumn/ winter collection had a little bit of everything. From the materials used to the colours to the styles, ranging from jackets, scarfs, waistcoats, pants suits and jumpers, this winter, the men in our lives will definitely stay cosy and look good whist doing so!
